The three cheapest ways into a used EV, compared honestly — including the charging-speed and battery-health tradeoffs the price tag doesn't tell you.

All three GM Bolt-recall battery packs (2019–2022 model years) were replaced under warranty — a used Bolt with a post-recall pack is actually a plus, not a red flag, since it means a fresher battery than the car's age suggests. The Leaf's CHAdeMO fast-charge connector is older tech that's getting harder to find at new charging stations as the US shifts to CCS and NACS, and pre-2018 Leafs lack active battery thermal management, which can mean faster range loss in hot climates — worth checking battery health (State of Health, or "SOH") before buying any older Leaf.
